Jeremy Palmer is super affiliate based in Utah, USA. He is the recipient of the 2005 Commission Junction Award for Innovation. Jeremy began working in affiliate marketing part-time in 2003 and only after 6 months he quit his day job and began working full-time as an affiliate.

Affiliate Marketing Strategy: Jeremy makes use of paid search in his campaigns but also uses Search engine optimization for low competition keywords. His strategy is to buy highly targeted traffic and convert it into a sale. He attracts visitors in various buying stages (explained in book) and sends them to specially designed high converting websites. 

Review: I found High performance affiliate marketing as one of the good self help guides available in the market. Four benefits clearly stand out:

1. There’s a section devoted to landing pages which is excellent.
2. Jeremy introduces the concept of keyword buying cycle and how he uses it in search campaigns. This was like a “aha” moment to me and I realized where I had lost a lot of money!
3. For the first time I became aware of the importance tracking in affiliate campaigns. He provides a great way to track using a simple php code and excel spreadsheets.
4. The member’s only forum is what I found to be a great resource. Jeremy himself has answered many questions which plague newcomers. As I frequently visit the forum, over time many success stories have popped up.

He also explains the importance of web usability cross browser testing, the different kinds of affiliate websites you can build and building relationship with affiliate managers.To summarize the ebook I would say it packs a lot of information in a clear step by step actionable form. A must have in every affiliate marketer’s library.

Rating: Excellent for intermediate affiliate marketers.Good For total beginners.

Who Should Buy: If you are a total beginner to affiliate marketing, I would recommend Rosalind’s ebook which is more comprehensive. High performance affiliate marketing is aimed at intermediate affiliates who have had some experience online. To derive the maximum benefit from the ebook I suggest you set aside a few hundred dollars for paid search campaigns. If you feel uncomfortable risking any money on pay per click I would recommend James Martell course.

How it helped me: After reading Google cash in May 2006 I made a commission of $50 from my first campaign. The problem was I had spent $45 in advertising and and that's only $5 in profit. Though I was elated I knew my knowledge was not enough to make a sustainable income.Being short on cash  i decided to take the longer Seo route . After reading Jeremy’s book ,I again decided to try pay per click. Using his concepts , i found some keywords for a Clickbank ebook , made a landing page and bid the highest amount for it. 1 week later I had (search volume was rather low) made $118.16 after spending around $25 . Horraaaah…  First Light to a waning spirit !
